In other words you buy the game from them (which is what you'd have to do with any preorder) and you get the access code, friend code and early access code emailed to you. The rest will be sent out to you on the day of release.

I did it last year but through gameplay and they sent the game the day before (because of the 24hr access thing). Got it from game coz i get 30% staff discount now

hehe, plus they didn't do the preorder last year, but even if they send it on the actual release date, I'm assuming that if you attempt to log in 24 hours early with the access key, then it will stream the game to your client anyway, since technically you don't need a cd for this game.

I think you have to pay upfront for the boxed version of Guild Wars Factions in the UK. Unlike in the US, in Europe we will not receive that pre-sale disk..
Honestly I am still confused about this whole preorder thing!!

Is the pre-order on the Game website for the standard edition of Factions though? I want to pre-order but get the collectors edition, so get the extra stuff from pre-ordering and the extra stuff that comes with the collectors edition.

The strange thing is, doesn't NC Soft have a whole online set up for buying games online? I remember going to their site when playing demos of CoH and Auto Assault, and entering in all these codes, and having options to buy full retail versions of the game and monthly fees their.

Unless it was all a stange dream...

hmm i don't know why but amazon has now lowered the price of the preorder combination with the pre-order disc to 44.99 which means i will have to cancel my order again and reorder and get more -2$ charge on my credit card for swiping fee's. Ive already canceled and reordered it when they finally added the damn presale disc.

here is my reciept that i got from amazon this is what it says before they changed the price to $44.99 the shipment dates seem a little weird to me. What should i do if they do not ship it on those dates?

Looks like they screwed up. Shouldn't the actual game ship in April?

Only the ch.1 collector's edition has the divine aura.
If memory serves, it was mentioned that the ch.2 factions collector's will "unlikely" include the divine aura, but would be something different.

It would definitely be a major turn-off, if players that bought the ch.1 collector's already, and find that the divine aura "again" was the main special thing for ch.2 collector's. It wouldnt be much of a collector's...

yeh its suppose to ship in april. i don't mind if the actual retail game ships in april i just want that presale disc to come to me before the game hits the shelves to get the 24 hour early access to factions. There wouldn't be a point to get the presale disc except for the nifty daggers and all.

ye it seems like they only meant those dates for the preorder package. but also with their estimate, it may
even reach you "pass" the GWF event on the 24th...(only affect those ppl w/o an existing account I guess)

I guess email them to confirm that you would at least be getting the preorder package separately and before the full-game release.

(generally, when you order multiple items from Amazon, everyone knows that to not be charged extra shipping costs you would pick the option for all items to be shipped at the same time. Clearly at US.Amazon, for the preorder package?disk? they say: For a limited time, this item qualifies for free standard shipping to a single address. Though, It didnt specify more if that's by purchasing the package on its own (which seems to be available-$1.00) or when you choose the deal they have of GWF w/ preorder disk...you would only assume...

yes its for standard but we have the collectors one in our in-store listings; I'd suggest waiting for the CE to be put up on the website (probably not there coz it hasn't been confirmed by anet or something yet) and if it gets close to the date for the preview, preorder the normal. You can always cancel after you've used that access key and just buy a CE from the store. If I hear anything I'll let you know
